Beach Theme Wedding Cakes

My cousin and her husband are renewing their wedding vows next June on the beach in Pensacola, FL. She asked me for some good ideas for beach-themed wedding cakes, so here is a sampling of some delightful cakes, fit for the beach, from!

This cake is perfect for a wedding on the beach or in a quaint boathouse. Accent with your choice of flowers and colors.

The gold accents on this cake beautifully stand out on top of pale blue fondant. Want something less dramatic? Use seashells instead of seahorses.

The white and cream accents work great for an all white wedding by the sea. The white beach chair cake topper adds a charming touch.

This dramatic beach side cake is heavily decorated with seahorse, seashells, and coral. Complete with a dolphin cake topper, this cake is perfect for those who want an ornate feeling to their seaside nuptials.

One of my favorites! Thsi cake blends contemporary sleekness with beautiful seaside flowers. Just add your color scheme and you're all set!

Also one of my favorites! Cream fondant accented with taupe and light blue ribbons mimics the look and feel of the ocean. It also has just the right amount of seashell accents.

Another dramatic cake embellished with seashells, coral, and starfish. Stick with whites, creams, and golds, or add your own colors.

Another one of my favorites! This cake is also the perfect blend of contemporary style with ocean side colors and flowers. Find out what type of flowers are native to the area where your wedding is taking place and use them to accent your cake.

The black ribbons and pearl borders beautifully contrast to the tropical flowers cascading down one corner of the cake.

Think dock fences or arch lattice for the design on this beachy cake. Stick with seafoam green or use light blue, depending on your colors.

The minimalistic style of this cake provides a charming touch to a beach wedding. The orange accents contrast quite well against the all white fondant cake.

Want something different? How about covering your cake with beach grass to give a hint of ocean flair to your wedding without going overboard.

Brown sugar looks like sand and can add a special touch to a beach-themed wedding cake. Used in small areas around the cake, it creates a beach look while still having a contemporary, sleek base.

This ornate, over the top beach wedding cake is perfect for an all white seaside wedding. Think flowy dress, white flowers in your hair, and being barefoot.

This cake is also different. The color is provided by the blue fondant and white is used as the accent color.
